transportation group

How can we add new transportation group? After adding this new transportation group, is there any other configurations needed relating to this newly created transportation group? What are the tables related in transportation group?

Hi there,

SPRO --> Logistics execution --> Shipping -> Basic shipping functions --> Routes --> Route determiantion --> Maintain transportation groups. It is the basic input for route determination maintained in MM02 / MM03 --> Sales general Plant view.

Route determiantion : Dep zone of shipping point (Dep zone) + T-zone of ship-to party (dest zone) + shipping point + Transportation grp.

Here transportation grp is how the goods are transported. For eg it can be a numeric value like 0001 / 0002 or text like truck / rail.

In OVSY, you have to create the Transportation Group which should be assigned to your material master.
