System aliases are not copied to the user

Hi,

I have a problem with role assaignment. When I am assaign a role to the user the alias systems are not working there. i.e. System Alias is not copied to that user. I haven't seen any system in usermapping.

Yes, I have configured in end user user mapping. But still it's asking username and password. Do I need to configure anything?

I haven't used any logon tickets with sso.I am trying with USIDPW with sso.

And My transaction iview is working in Admin, but when i am using that iview in assaigned user it's asking username and password.

I have given permissions to the enduser. But everytime its asking username and password to enter.

is SSo configured.If SSo is configured it will not ask for username and password .if not check these links

yah i have given alias system...now its working but it's asking everytime with dialog box

SAP GUI shortcut - logon

and please enter username and password.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your information.

I did what ever you said. But still it showing an exception

"Exception in SAP Application Integrator occured: Cannot retrieve system object for this alias."

hi,

you have to set u201CLogon Methodu201D to UIDPW in the porperties of your system. then you can set the user mapping in UME.

Hi James,

check the system alias properties from System Administration -> System Configuration -> in the portal content look for the system thorugh which you need to connect backend.

check user manangement property of system alias.

Mostly usermapping maybe done with sap logon ticket.

Note :

Create a transaction iview to a tansaction from backend.If you are able to create transaction iview, that system alias is working perfectly.No need to worry about it.

is my question clear? I have created a some iviews and workset and assaigned to my role. And this role is assaigned to a user.

My i view is linked to the System aliases.So when i open iviews it showing the exception.

So how can i assaign the System aliases to the User?

Hello

System Alias does not have to be assigned to the User.

But Permission has to be granteed to the User for the System in Question.

For this Go To System Admin -- System Configuration

Right Click on the System in Question and Select Open Permissions.

There Add the User and Give Read Permissions , Check End User Check Box.

That will Solve your Problem.
