hi,
you have to set u201CLogon Methodu201D to UIDPW in the porperties of your system. then you can set the user mapping in UME.

Hi James,
check the system alias properties from System Administration -> System Configuration -> in the portal content look for the system thorugh which you need to connect backend.
check user manangement property of system alias.
Mostly usermapping maybe done with sap logon ticket.
Note :
Create a transaction iview to a tansaction from backend. If you are able to create transaction iview, that system alias is working perfectly. No need to worry about it.

is my question clear? I have created a some iviews and workset and assaigned to my role. And this role is assaigned to a user.
My i view is linked to the System aliases. So when i open iviews it showing the exception.
So how can i assaign the System aliases to the User?

Hello
System Alias does not have to be assigned to the User.
But Permission has to be granteed to the User for the System in Question.
For this Go To System Admin -- System Configuration
Right Click on the System in Question and Select Open Permissions.
There Add the User and Give Read Permissions , Check End User Check Box.
That will Solve your Problem.
Best Regards
Rajendra
