Can a functional consutant create a transport request?

Who creates the transport request,

If you do any config changes(usually functional consultant does) or code changes(usually tech consultant does) it will create a transport request so that it can be transported to other systems.

so I think your question is answered.

TINKU transport request will be created by the conusltant who is doing some changes or developing some configuration for that we as a fun consultant has to create a request

later on we shd farword that reqeuest to basis people check Tcode SE10 se09 se01 for this first u shd relase the cusotmisation task than the request

later the basis people will release it into the quality client u can check this one through STMS Tcode check this one

if everythign is fine in quality the basis will release to production

Tinku,

There will be a transport route setup to Quality system.

you will find all the commands in STMS.if any request is released in dev it will go to import queue of the quality if there is a transport queue from dev to quality.go to STMS and select the target system and select the request and transport it.

t hrough STMS they will come to know the request relased by u and on the info given by the developer the requeset will be relased

There are two kinds of transport requests 1. workbench (which will be normally done by the technical team, ABAP) and 2. Customization (normally done by the configurator). The first one has the changes to the program while the second one has the changes to the configuration.

Once the configuration/ development is over, they need to be released and will be transported by BASIS team
