search help - window system type

When clicking on a search help button, in the ABAP WebDynpro application, the user has the following error:

"Sending of dynpro SAPLSZA1 0201 not possible: No window system type specified".

Please, what could be causing this error?

Hi Fabio Bellocchio ,

Try using the search help KRED_C instead. Iam Not sure.. pls Try and reply.

thank you!

Actualy it did not work very fine, because this search help has a pretty different layout.

But the worst problem is that, in the DEV environment it works fine, the KRED search help is launched perfectly.

Only in QAS the users have problems, with that message I posted previously.

Were you able to solve this issue?? I am getting the same error :- "Sending of dynpro SAPLHRBAS00SEARCH_INTERNAL 4100 not possible: No window system type specified" while using the search help PLOM.

Strangely it works for some one else in our team.

Any info will be of great help!

Hi Hari,

not yet.

I am sending for QAS the configuration with the Search help KRED_C, and lets see what happens.

What I think is that there is some EXIT implementation in one of the underlying Search Helps of the KRED, once it is a Collective Search Help.

As I found in the SDN, "Search help exits containing dynpro-specific functions, for example, CALL SCREEN, are not supported.".

This problem is happening with me also.I am new to this area.

This problem is occurring for only one user.

How can I solve it?

How do I configure KRED_C? If any other way possible please let me know.

Which is the search help attached with that input field ?

It seems you have called the search help which is calling SAP GUI Screen.
