MRP run for MRP out put -reg

hi friends,

our requirement is like this .

we have two plants A and B in different company codes.

plant A will procure some parts and supply to plant B , it supplies both parts procured from suppliers and also assembly parts

the lead time for parts supply between plants is one month .

now when MRP is run for plant B it gives the requirements at plant B , based on these requirements plant A should procure materials and produce Assemblies and send to Plant B against the required date

how system can be set to address this issue?

for example

plan is put at plant B for the month December , requirements will come at Plant B against the requirement dates in DEC .

Since lead time between plants is one month ,plant A should procure these parts required at plant B by November and supply to plant B .

for procuring the parts from suppliers by Nov , shall we again run MRP for these parts at plant A ,procure materials in date and supply by required date at plant B ?

for these what system settings are to be done ?

if any other solutions are there also please let us know

use special procurement key at plant A, to procure from plant B.

and then put requirement on plant A, RUN MRP for plant A, it will transfer the requirement to plant B.(will create stock transfer requriement)

then run MRP for plant B, then procure it from vendor.

now in plant A, manitain the total lead time as 30 days, a months.

and in the Plant B , maintian the external procurement time.

i hope it will solve issue.

Hi ,

As it should not effect the regular MRP at the plant which is supposed to procure parts and send to other plant shall we have to create MRP areas assign the parts which to be procured and send to other plant and run MRP for MRP area at the plant which procure parts to send to other plants

can the steps wise procedure is communicated ?
