Hi
We upgraded MS Office 2003 to 2007. And installed GUI 7.10 (Patch 9).
When we run BEx Analyser from start menu or RRMX, we notice the error message: "A critical program error occured. The program has to close. Please refer to the trace for further information".
We have also applied "BI AddOn Patch for GUI 7.10"
Kindly help me with the solution.
Thanks & Regards
Madhu

Hello Madhu,
Do a repair of your Office 2007 installation, it will work.

Hello Madhu,
What is the BI 7.0 Support pack you are in?
You need to save the workbook in Excel 2007 version again.
Excel 2007 by default saves the workbook as .xlsx format. If you still want the workbook to be supported by older version of excel, then choose "Excel 97 - 2003 (*.xls)",
Try to install [Microsoft .Net 3.0|http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=10CC340B-F857] (if its not installed)

Hi
Our BI 7.0 is at SP14.
As per OSS note 1236489, we already applied BI 700 add-on patch 700.
And our Windows XP system has .Net 3.0 by default.
I have referred most of the OSS notes and couple of SDN messages, but I didn't come across similar problem any where.
Is there any RRMX settings or BEx settings that needs to be changed?
Thanks & Regards
Madhu

Hello Madhu,
at com.sap.bi.et.analyzer.addin.BExConnect.ExcelCommunication.ProcessBExMenuCommand(String iCMD) CriticalProgramError
Please check your RFC connection.
Can you check whether you have BExAnalyzer.xla in this path,
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SAP Shared\BW
If not place it and try again.
Thanks
Chandran
Hi
For my case, this problem was solved by changing the global settings in BEx Analyzer.. Following are the steps:
After executing RRMX, BEx Analyzer screen opens
Open Global Settings
Select u201CDefault Workbooku201D tab
Click u201CUse SAP Standardu201D
And then execute the query
Regards
Madhu
