BOE XI 3.0 / Vintela / Didn't find name at offset <number>

Hi guys,

Is anyone aware about this error "Didn't find name at offset <number>" while trying to

logon to InfoView using Vintela SSO? The parameter number might be an integer

which differs everytime a user tries to logon.

They are using BOE XI 3.0 with Windows AD and Vintela. The users can logon

successfully with Windows AD The problem appears only when Vintela SSO is used.

We have verified the SPNs and and all the steps for Vintela and Windows AD are

upto the standards. Here's the last line from trace in the stdout.log. I can post the

whole text here but, it would acquire a lot of space. Please let me know if you would

need it.

I have reproduced the Didn't find name at offset error in house. I also wrote SAP-Note 1262301

On my domain controller I navigated to

DNS | Forward Lookup Zones | <domain name> | _udp

In here I right clicked and chose

Other New Records | Service Location(SRV) | Create Record

In the New Source Record window I set

Service to _kerberos

Protocol to _udp

Priority 2

Weight 100

Port number 88

In the Host offering this service I entered a machine name that already exist as a _kerberos name

Back on the Tomcat/CMS machine I opened a command prompt and ran

ipconfig /flushdns

then

nslookup

then

> set q=srv

then

> kerberos.udp.<your.domain.com>

I noticed that I duplicated my SRVs

After restarting Tomcat I received the Didn't find name at offset error and InfoView was giving a 404.
