I want to programmatically populate a select option in an ABAP report, but dont want to allow the user to be able to change it. I know i have to write code in the AT SELECTION-SECREEN OUTPUT even but what option do I use to disable the select- options field

Hi,
You can use ranges instead. Ranges work as same way like the select options but do not appear on selection screen.

Hi Srikrishna,
In AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT you have to set screen-output, screen-invisible and screen-active values for each field that you want to disable for user input. I'm copying you a piece of code as an example:
LOOP AT SCREEN.
IF screen-name CS 'PAR_OPEN'.
screen-output = 0.
screen-invisible = 1.
screen-active = 0.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
I hope solve the problem.
