Adobe Service

Hi,

I'm installing SAP SneakPreview SP15 (Java Stack). I would like to set up the Adobe Document Service and I have some problems eventhough I follow the installation instruction.

Here's my steps:

1. Install Java Stack.

2. Copy the pfx file into C:\usr\...\trust\credentials

3. Register using Visual Admin

4. Restart PDF Manipulation Module, Document Services Trust Manager and com.adobe/AdobeDocumentServices

5. Use the demo: http://localhost:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/TutWD_OnlineInteractiveForm/OnlineInteractiveFormA...

But I got error message: "Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator."

Did I miss any steps? Any helps would be appreciated.

Hi Iwan,

There are a number of configuration steps that you need to follow to get the ADS working, including setting up a new user (ADSUser) and allocating a role to that user. You can download the configuration guide from service.sap.com

Once you've performed the config, you can test the ADS web service at http://servername:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config (case-sensitive).

Also, if you view the details on your error message, the stack trace may provide some clues.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Hi ,

This problem occurs when your WAS version is lower than that of the NWDS.Check if both of these have the same version.Let us know if it works.

Hi Jonathan,

Thank for the info. After the installation, ADSUser has been created automatically (SneakPreview SP15), This is just the user in th Java Engine not the windows user.

As for the link: http://servername:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config, I saw it display some information. If i installed it correctly, what things I should look for?

I'll look at the document, I was hoping I can skip that but I guess I have to now and I hope the guide also valid for the sneakpreview version.

Regards,

Iwan

Note: I am using WAS Netweaver 04 (Java Stack) Sneak Preview SP 15 and NWDS SP 15 as well. The back end (ABAP Stack) I used is WAS Netweaver 04s.

Hi Iwan,

The guide is very important for proper configuration of

ADS. Its available at the link https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/instguides -> Netweaver -> Release 04 ->

installation -> web as -> webas 640 and related doc ->

ADS.

You have to check the username/ password and the ABAP

connection after the configuration.
