Percentage of XML processing improvement in DS 3.1 comparing with 11.5.3?

My customer currently uses DI 11.5.3 to map fields to XML and write a lot of large XML files (up to 150 MB) on production. They've been experiencing some performance issues in XML processing and writing. They are aware that the DI version they use is quite outdated and our new versions (11.7 and DS 3.1) use more recent XML libraries and should offer improved performance. However, they are not convinced how much improvement they will get from the upgrade. Is there a white paper that offers some statistics so one can compare different versions 11.5, 11.7, and DS 3.1 in terms of the percentage of improvement?

I would like to know myself. We implemented lots of optimizations inside the engine impacting the memory consumption in particular, especially in DI 12.1 it got reduced by a lot (40%???). From an execution performance perspective nothing was done to my knowledge, nested structures just benefit from other optimizations done.
