Upgrade to SPS 16

HI,

We are currently using EP 7 SPS 13.

We are facing some problem while creating BI 7 iviews in the portal. One of the suggested solution of this problem is Federated Portal . We have followed the steps for federated portal creation , but still not able to open, content (iviews) present in BI portal from EP.

To resolve this problem we are planning to upgrade EP to SPS 16.

1. Do we need to upgrade BI portal as well to SPS 16?Currently, it is on SPS 13.

2. What are the risks in upgrading to SPS 16?

3. Are there any known errors with SPS 16?

Hi ,

I know the issue you are facing.

This issue has been resolved in PL 5 of SP 13 as mentioned in the NOTE 1140854.

Yes you should upgrade.Federation will give good results when both portals are at same SPS level.

For other doubts ...wait for iputs from others

Federation should work nevertheless. When you say content does not work -- what do you mean. What scenario you trying for RDL or RRL?
