In Gl Acounts Deternimination , Inventory tab we need define
Varience Account, Why we need To define this Account and How it Effects

Variance Acct u2013Expense Acct. Only used for Items defined with u2018Standardu2019costing method. Difference between Cost Price and purchase pricein document posted.
Variance Account is used only for item for which the Inventory Valuation Method is set to 'Standard Costing'

You may use it to keep track of stock tracking and posting for example. When you write off materials, it has to post to certain account. Ussualy it will go to varience account.
