g/l account

Hi,

While creating P.O for assets in me21n i am geting this errror.

G/L account 200010 cannot be used (please correct)

Message no. ME045

Diagnosis

Comparison of the field selection strings from the G/L account 200010 and the account assignment category A reveals that there is an incompatible combination of field selections for the field selection group 'Asset number / subnumber'.

The G/L account field selection is stored in table T004F; that for the account assignment is stored in table T162K.

Procedure

Please enter a correct G/L account.

Hi

check the FSG for the GL Account 200010 and go to TCcode OBC4 and check the status of field 'Asset number / subnumber' and then go to TCode OME9 and select A and check the field status for field 'Asset number / subnumber'. Status at both areas are different hence system is not accpting. Make status identical.

Hi,

Go to FS00>Select Account and check Create / Bank / Interest Tab

Double Click on Field Status group and Check the BA Field is Set to Optional Entry. If at all it is already set to optional dont make any changes.

Go to OME9 and Select your Account Assignment X and Double Click and Check the Business area is set to Optional Entry

Check my reply. It is not BA. Check field "'Asset number / subnumber'

Dear,

You made wrong process.

If your put A in account assignment category.

Then you have to enter Asset number instead of G/L account number.

Please enter Asset number in field of Asset in Account Assignment category.

Enter AS03, Enter your asset number and check Account determination in entered in tab of General.

It seems the field status in GL account group and the account assignment category are different. Try to make the asset number as optional in GL account group
