Hi,
we have activated the automatic delivery for the stock transfer order. When the STO is saved, the delivery is created even if the availabile qty is 0.
If we delete the delivery which is created automatically and create the delivery in transaction VL10B for the same STO, the delivery is not created as the available qty is 0 , which is correct.
How to make the automatic delivery to check the availbility of the article ? I suppose both VL10B and STO uses the same procedure to create outbound delivery.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sharadha
Hi there,
In VL10B, availability check is done at storge location level. Even tough you have stock in the plant, it must be available in the storage loc that is assigned to the shipping point in OVL3. So in MMBE, we need to check if stock is there in that particular storage loc.
In your case automatic delivery might have been scheduled as a background job. If that is the case, then there must be a prog defined in the job step that will create delivery. Put the exit that does availability check in the prog. From your case it is evident that system is allowing to drop delivery ene though stock is not there.

Dear Sharadha,
Yes , in case of STO standard it self does not have availabliity check
In OVLP - Delivery item category NLN ,
AvailCkOff is activated
you have to create ZNLN and do the OMGN settings and copy controls , then only availablity check will happen.
