Fuel and acid activity confirmation

Hi All...

Our client is using acids and fuel to produce ms plate. how can we take these two components ... becoz there are not goin into product directly .. they are using for heating the furnace and control it.

If we take these as activities then, we will confirm in CO11n, but what abt the inventory part.

how can we consume the materials??

becoz if we take it as activities then , only in confirmation we can capture.. the cost of activity.. not the inventory of material...

Please suggest the suitable clue...

Please let us explain , if you assign as bom components, what problem you will face.

Why you want to assign as Activities.

Hi,

If these Fuel & Acid is used in the production process with respect to Operation wise. Then you can include these Fuel & Acid material in BOM.

If you want you can Include the same in Routings per operion wise ( means in which are all operations you are using this materials) Allocate the components as per that if you want.

In Material master for these materials maintain the Backflush indicator in MRP 2 view -- Always Backflush.

When the Production order is confirmed in CO11N then after confirmation do the Picking list in CO27 or issue the materials to Production order in MB1A

Then in the background system will consume the Fuel & acid materials stock through 261 mvt type.

Hi srinivas rapelly !

If ur client config with Repetitive Maufacturing, u can do backfush actual Activity which declare in WC and Routing (it's backflush activity, not backflush component).

Hi,

If u want to show ur consumption and update inventry u have to maintain it in component for BOM

and keep it in auto goods issue in routing or do it manualy

I think this will be best for u.

Hi,

1)

If ur using any inventory related material against production order then u should put those components in your BOM.

Because execute any operation you should have components.

OR

2) The both components using for heating the furnace and control it then include both components cost in the activity cost only which attached to the work center that work center attached to the routing operation.

OR

3) Issue the both components against the cost center to consume.

I think 2nd one is suggestive

Eg: Suppose presently furnace activity cost is like 100.00Rs per/Hr.

For 1hr you are using 1kg acid and other component then cost will like 100.00Rs /kg

Then increase your activity cost from 100.00Rs/hr to 300.00Rs/Hr(100.001000.00100.00)
