Hello Experts,
I am working on integration between SAP CRM and WebSphere Commerce. The question I want to ask is - Is it mandatory to have SAP XI infrastructure to achieve the WebServices or Enterprise Services based integration between SAP CRM and WebSphere Commerce application?
Any help/pointers would be appreciated.
Regards,
Prafful
Hi,
If u r using standard content of SAP CRM u can get those interfaces imported and desing u r Inbound interface (Receiver System).
Kindly relook u r entire landscape which can also be used using XI.
Bcz u can go for other third party tool if u r only going to use integration of above two systems.
wud save u r cost.

Hi Prafful,
First thing , if you are using web service from SAP CRM to use it in IBM websphere, you need not use XI . Basically XI works as middleware integrating tool to route to different platform based application. Without using XI you can integrate only through web services.

U can do SAP CRM integration without XI if you r using portal or other app. where XI is not neccessary.

HI Prafful
SAP CRM is capable to expose webservices and can be consumed by Web Sphere or any other applicatuion. Same you can achieve conviniently using SAP XI.
AS SAP XI will provide you a central Hub for your webservices comparing to SAP CRM Peer to Peer solution. With this you can very well use XI RWB to monitor and debug any message exchange problems that is not available at SAP CRM. Only Logs are available that is complex than XI RWB.
Thanks
