Dear Friends

Im doing physical inventory mi01 .at the time i got error freezing of bookinv.balance in storage location is not allowed. can any one give solution for this error.

Pls check is there any stock in transit??

If yes, then pls settle it down and then again try...

Hi..

There is no stock in Transit. but why the error is coming..

I have checked in mb5t and mb52 for that plant and storage location..

there is no stock..

pls give solution

Go to SPRO-MM-Inventory Management & Physical Inventory-Physical Inventory-Allow Freezing of Book Inventory Balance in Storage Location and Select your Plant and Allow the Freezing for Sotage locations by Putting Tick Mark.

hi,

Freeze book inventory : It ticked out there so that when you enter the count while Physical inventory, then stocks in which may get posted ie. form GR...may create the differences in the count....so as to avoid this situation, first we freeze the book inventory and then enter the count....

Allow Freezing of Book Inventory Balance in Storage Location

In this step, you determine whether the book inventory balances of items

in a physical inventory document, which have not yet been counted, can

be frozenin the storage location. The frozen inventory balance is

recorded in the physical inventory document. It is relevant to

calculating inventory differences.

Example

You have physically counted all items in a physical inventory document,

but have not yet entered the count results in the system for all items.

For one of these items, the book inventory balance is 100 pieces. 90

pieces were counted, corresponding to a difference of 10 pieces.

You freeze the book inventory balance of 100 pieces in the physical

inventory document.

Before you enter the count, a goods receipt of 20 pieces is posted. The

current book inventory balance is now 120 pieces. For the physical

inventory document, however, the book inventory balance of 100 pieces

continues to be relevant.

If the inventory balance had not been frozen, there would have been a

difference of 30 pieces for the item.
