New settings in DSO

Hi Gurus,

Can anyone shed some light on how to configure the following option for a DSO

● Package size for activation

● Package size for SID determination

● Maximum wait time before a process is designated lost

● Type of processing

○ Serial

○ Parallel (batch)

○ Parallel (dialog)

● Number of processes to be used

● Server/server group to be used

Go to transaction :

RSODSO_SETTING

By default it will have :

DATASTORE _DEFAULT

ACT PACKAGESIZE 20,000

ACT MAX WAITTIME 300

SID PACKAGESIZE 20,000

SID MAX WAITTIME 600

ROL MAX WAITTIME 600

You can change them according to your requirement.

I had missed 'S' in the end.

You can set the parallel process for running the DTP under menu Goto->Setting for batch manager-Define the parallel process here

You can set the parallel process for activation when you click on activate button under manager screen of DSO.

You can specify which server to run at the same place where you set the parallel process option.

You can set serial mode by setting one one parallel process. By default parallel process starts job in batch only, not sure if it is possible to set parallel processes at dialog also.
