Transport sequence

I have changed the DataSource (include additional field) in R3.

Replicated this DataSource in BW, and mapped this field in Transfer Rule.

Everything working fine. Now would like to transport into Production client.

In term of transport sequence, can I just transport the Transfer Rule in BW first?

Or I must transport the DataSource first, then replicate and then transport the Transfer Rule?

Please advice.

Hi Linda,

Adding to the other threads..

Please make sure that you will transport all the objects which ever u have changed.

If u have added the new fields in the cube as well? means then u need to think about transporting the total flow along with the TR as u have collected.!!!!

If the strucuture is already there but u did only the modification at the Transfer rules, then u can simply collect the TR from Bi Side.

From R3 u need to transport the DS and then replicate it into BI.. and then transport the BI request..

Hi Linda,

You must transport datasource first and replicate.

Then transport transfer rules, other wise request fails.

Just a small tip...Transport the same way the way you created...if you created DS first you are offcourse going to transport DS first. Please search the forum for more information on it.
