Crystal Reports - Myriad PRO fonts...

Hi,

We have crystal Reports 8.5 version.

Recently we have purchased Myriad PRO font and used it in the Crystal Reports.

Whenever we are exporting the Crystal Report data into PDF then it is not embedding the fonts properly.

Whenever we open the PDF it is giving the below message and the entire data showing as dots.

"Cannot find or create the font 'MyriadPro'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."

Can you please help me in this regardu2026

Thanksu2026

Hello,

There are only certain fonts that can be exported to a PDF format. Here is an article that will explain the fonts used.

Elaine,

Thanks for giving the new links.

As per those links, we can't use Myriad PRO in crystal export; but as per our project requirement, we have to use that only...

We are still checking for different solutions on this....

Thanks...

Hi Anjan,

Let us know your Visual studio version?

This might be a framework issue. The .NET framework, typically does not support custom or machine fonts. One way to test this, would be to place a label on a winform and see if the label "sees" the font. If not, the font is not supported by .NET.

Shweta,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Even I have tried this issue in crystal reports designer directly without using Visual studio, there also I am facing the same issue.

I am suspecting about fonts embedding at the time of report export...not sure...

Thanks...

Anjan
