Backup service stops

Hello,

SBO Backup service stops itself.

Aparently, everything is OK, and this only happens sundays. I have tried this forum for some solution, but found nothing.

We have also checked system information and 3041 id is appearing throwed by MSSQLSERVER.

Does anybody know something about this odd behaviour?

MSSQLServer2005 and SBO2005APL36

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

Hi Vanessa,

Please check the last line of this link:

http://www.sqlcoffee.com/Troubleshooting018.htm

It says: this error will happen when a backup job failed because the target database no longer exists. The target database was deleted.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

I have checked databases exist. We also have a maintence plan on database, but it is working OK. (00:30) The error appears when SAP executes its backup service (03:00). And this it is not happening every day, but only some days. Those days nothing strange or special it is happening on server for this to happen.

Anyway, thank you a lot for your quick answer.:)

you may have a look in the Windows event log and / or in the B1 logger. Perhaps there is a failure entry.

Hello Steffen,

I have checked both. It not helps to find out the problem.

When you say B1 Logger you refer to C:\ProgramFiles\SAP, dont you?

Thank you for your help,

depending on your localization you find the logger files in c:\programm\sap\sap business one\log

on your server and of course on every client.

is there something interesting in the log file. if not you may check the following steps :

1. is there enough space on the disc

2. if you would backup more than one database, are all of them existing

3. does the user, who execute the backup service, all rights to write the file

4. do you give the correct path for the backup

5. are you sure, nobody is joking you and manually ends the backup service

Such errors normally protocoled in the event log of windows, cause the sap backup runs like a windows service.
