Create Exteranl POD ID (Point Of Delievery)

Hi ,

What is the process to create a External POD ID for a utility Installation .Do we need any special configurations or can we do with standard application ? .

prince here.

am listing below the pod concepts i know and i have studied

pod concepts is used only in deregulated scenario and its not necessary in regulated market.

if u try create a pod u must decide whether its a technical or deregulated pod

deregulated pod is used only for communication between srevice providers

whereas a technical pod is assigned to registers to communicate with the AMR systems in the utility company

in es3o to create a installation u can see a pod division under which u can specify the grid anem and generate the own pod id by clicking an icon named default value

the generated pod id is a deregulated pod..one installation can have only deregulation pod but one installation may have many technical pods..

to create tehcnical pod u need to allocate it to a device in create pod under technical master data cloumn..

then u can use this pod for all data exchange tasks..

Hi Ravi,

You can create External PoD using transaction EEDM09 or SAP Menu --> Utilities Industry --> Technical Master Data --> Point of Delivery --> Create.

Please refer the the following for any configurations related to PoD creation:

IMG --> SAP utilities --> Master Data --> Point of Delivery.

As per my knowledge Pod Type & Grid is required to create an External PoD.
