I understand that having configured my XI 3.0 cluster if I log into it using Designer and the name of a CMS Server in that cluster the registry will be updated with the Cluster details. In fact I can even see the server names in a key in the registry.
However should I now be able to access the cluster from Designer by logging in with the cluster name?
So, if my servers were SERVER1.mycompany.net and SERVER2.mycompany.net and my cluster is @CLUSTER I have a key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Enterprise\CMSClusterMembers called @CLUSTER with value SERVER1.mycompany.net:6400; SERVER2.mycompany.net:6400;
Should I then be able to access designer using @CLUSTER as the system?
Was this ever resolved ?
Thanks
Bryan

This should work in 3.0. I don't have a cluster configured right now to test.
Can you open a message with support to verify with an admin engineer in case this is a bug?
