Regarding costing on production order

Dear All,

We are having MTO scenario. We have one byproduct (semi finished), the quantity for which is uncertain.It might be very huge sometimes or might be zero. My questions are what is the impact of the byproduct if it does not come into picture? What is the impact if I do costing run through CK11N? What is the impact on production order settlement? Also kindly explain what are the document those are created after settlment. We have standard price for all finished and semi finished products.

Hi,

If u r getting by product with varying qty then should not define in the BOM and u can post what ever by product qty against that production order through MIGO with 531 movement type.

Once u post that material against that order then byproduct cost will captured in the production order.

That u can see in the actual cost against the planned order.

Its like issue extra material against the production order.

So once u post the byproduct against the production order byproduct cost will be gets captured.
