Dear,

The planning file contains a list of all materials relevant to the planning run. As soon as a material master record is created with MRP data and a valid MRP type, this material is then automatically included in the planning file.

Please follow below links:

If the materials is created before activating planning file for plant, you must generate planning file entry for all material by tcode MDAB.

Hi,

When creating a material, the material number is entered in the planning file and the system sets the total change indicator as well as the net change planning indicator.

In the set up Planning File here, you carry out a background job for creating the planning file entries with scheduled time like every day or every week or every Hr.

To start the background job which you use to delete the planning file entries in the planning file that are no longer relevant.

This will helps to increase your system performance.

some times what happens if ur running the MRP daily bases in the background every night, even i the next day also its go on running beacuse of lot of material master entered in the planning file to reduce and increase ur system performance background job should be set

regards

Vijay
