Should i activate MRP after i upload master data to production or before that

Hi,

MRP activation is the configuration data.

So first activate the MRP then upload the master data.

If u want to activate the MRP in the configuration in production system then its not possible.

Because its not right practice to do the configuration in production .

U should do in the development server then transfer it in to production with transfer request.

Dear,

You have to first configure following;

first u need to activate MRP for the plant in the tcode OMDU

then u need to Carry Out Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters in the tcode OMI8

then u need to carry out Carry Out Overall Maintenance of MRP Groups in OPPZ .

then u need to have activate MRP view in material master for that plant.

enter the mrp type andd enter the details for the selected MRP type.

u can run mrp using Total Planning (MD01)

So check in tcode MD21 whether any planning file entries exists befor you run MRP. Manually create Planning file entry in MD20.
