Delete warehouse

Our customer by mistake creates new Warehouse and record for this warehouse is added to each stock item. Before deleting this warehouse from OWHS table user cannot delete the warehouse.

Is any easy method how to delete this warehouse? I know that user may through all items delete the warehouse manualy (that are thousands items) or we can create addon for this, but maybe is something in SAP which provide this functionality. On this new warehouse arent any movements yet.

Hi Petr,

The way to do it is like you described. And yes, it is not a nice way, however, SAP will not provide an update or other function to remove it.

To avoid that this warehouse is added to other Items go to:

Administration -> System Ini -> Genral Settings -> Stock/Inventory Tab -> Untick the box 'Add Warehouses to New Items Automatically'.

Hi Petr,

Unfortunately it is not possible to delete warehouses once they have been added.

The only possible way is to remove the items from all the items and ensure no transactions have been posted against them.

We also faced similar problem with some of our clients.

What we did is used DTW and updated the Warehouse as 'Locked' and disabled the field in the 'Form Settings'.

May not be a right solution but a better workaround.

Thanks for suggestion, but this will not solve our problem. The by mistake created warehouse is shown at first place in tab Warehouse in items and has similar whscode as valid warehouse (and the code cannot be changed after created). And than the warehouse must be blocked for each new created item, that is impossible to achive with the customer.
