How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP?

Hello Expert,

How Production Order finish date and time is being comptued by SAP? for example, we create a Production Order via CO01, the basic start date is 29.09.2008 and time is 04:00 it gives us basic finish date is 29.09.2008 and time is 13:28.

how does SAP compute the time 13:28 as it finished time

Please explain me briefly.

Hi,

To calculate Order finish date = Order start date + float before prod + operation time from routing + float after prod.

Hi,

Float is defined in schedule margin key, MRP2 view of material master. you can define floats in schedule margin key through configuration.

in the sheduling margin key, all floats are 000, how come we have the start time of 04:00 and come up with finish time of 13:28? how could this been the finish time?

Hello Guys,

When we create Production Order in R/3 the time is calculated by routing but it is extended at SetUp machine time. It is not correct?. SetUp imachines time used only for first Production Order for the same product and it is plan manually, for others Production Order we need calculate time for production without SetUp machine time being pick up to compute finish time. how could we achieve this? only those Machine time will be check.

Hi,

The finish date calculated by system from your routing time.Suppose there are two work centers in your routing and you have assigned the process time 10 sec for one pc.for the both operation and you are creating 100 pc order system will calculate the finsh time (10010+10010) sec. it will become 2000 sec. so system will show the finish time adding this time in your order creation time.
