Hi all,
Which is the better method to create add ons i.e. Using screen painter or creating forms using Code of .net.
Thanks,
Neetu
Hello Neetu,
I would prefer Screen Painter. Screen Painter is grapical design tool for your addon form, then the form can be saved and loaded from the xml file(.SRF). From performance poinit of view ,loading a form from xml with Application.LoadBatchAction will be faster than creating it by code.
Another fast option is UDO Form Generator, which can create the form xml file according to your UDO, it is a tool in B1DE tool set. further information, you may search B1DE. Thanks.
Kind Regards

Screen Painter is better, it saves you some time in designing and creating objects.

Hi,
Loading the forms frm XML (Using screen painter) is better in case of performance, If u use code to design ur forms it will be a bit difficult for design.
Hope it helps,

Hi,
it's up to you how you create your forms:
faster is usually to create it with screenpainter - you see instant what you designed - that saves you some time.
