Making Basic Unit of the Material Compulsory in MB1A transaction

Dear Guru's,

Can you pls advise if we can make a basic Unit of the Material as the compulsory input from the user in case of the transaction MB1A???

If yes, how we can do that...??? Can anyone pls will tell me...!!!

MB1A is for issuing materials. Materials should have base unit of measure as mandatory field in material master. System populate base UOM from material master so there is no point in making base UOM as mandatory in MB1A.
