Hi Gurus,
At the time of Asset Scrapping on ABAVN i am getting the following Error.
You cannot determine the period for rule to 29.09.08.
What ever the date given on Asset Value date i am getting the same Error message with date change.
Kindly advice me how to proceed this.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your response.
I have mentioned a Dep.Key in my Asset Class.
Assigned a Period Control for the Dep.Key in AFAMA
Multilev.method also maintained.
In OVAS i have maintained the Period Control.it is Half yearly rule.
In OVAH i have assigned the month, day and period.
But in my error message description it is mentioning.
The system could not determine a depreciation period on 29.09.08 for period control of the period control method of phase Z011 of depreciation key 000000030373-0000.
In which Z011 is my Multilev.Method
30373 is my Asset
000 is another depriciation key which is no depriciation and no interest. But this is not actual depriciation key which is assigned in Asset Class.
Please advice.

For a Particular Period Control key the function was showing the error.
Configured with new Period Control key and rectified.

Hi Ganapathy,
In your depreciation key you have a period control rule. This is used to determinate the end date for the depreciation posting. (like end of the Month, begin of the year).
It looks if the Calendar Assignments are not filled in.
in the depreciation key you can found the period controle rule you use (AFAMA)
TC
OAVS Maintain Period Control
OAVH Define Calender Assignments
OA84 Generate Period Controls
