Hi

Reference articles are used to propose data when creating and extending an article master record. All data defined for the reference article is proposed, except for EANs, consumption values and forecast values, and prices and conditions (purchasing and sales).

Controlling the reference handling can be done via OMSR.

Some referencings are hard codes, some flexible and most of them variable.

BUT: NEVER change the settings, if you have no knowledge about the impact.

You will ne NOT able to set settings back without data lost !!!!

So keep the settings like they are, Check out what is your wish.

read my document about the hintes in masterdata and if you have an unclear situation, please open a customer message on IS-R-BD-ART.

Thats easier for SAP to give you a hint instead of spending days correctiong your master data.

Hi Satish,

Simplest way to find reference article of an article (in IS Retail) is

Goto MM43 --> basic data

see the Merchandise category xxxxxx assigned to it.

Note it.

Now go to WG23, write the MC you noted

Under the assignment tab the MC ref. article can be easily seen.

By this you can find the ref, article corrosponding to your article.

Also you can press the Article overview button on then WG23 input screen .
