Pratheeviraj,

What do you mean by mention prices? Mentioning means telling about the prices??? Please explain yourself..

AIT1 refers to ths history table for ITM1 which is the Item Prices table.

Hi Suda,

Thanks for your replay. I created some Items, While creating the Item I am not given prices, that means I kept the unit price field blank.

Now I am trying to give some prices for that Item, but the error occurs.

Thanks

Pratheeviraj.

Which costing method are you using? Standard / FIFO / Moving Avg

Are you importing the items using DTW or Adding them manually inside B1

Please explain the steps

Hi Suda,

Costing Method is Moving Average.

Entering manually only.

Thanks,

Pratheeviraj

For Moving Avg you do not need to enter the prices..the price will be calculated when your process a GRPO/AP Invoice / Goods Receipt

Why are you thinking of entering it manually.. what is the purpose?

Hi Suda,

For moving average price what you say is Ok. But if I want to maintain costing based on standard method I am still unable to enter the price manually.Further I am getting the same error.

Thanks,

Pratheeviraj.

To enter Item Cost as per Standard Cost,

Open Inventory-> Item Master Data->Inventory Tab -> Enter Cost in 'Item Cost' Field

Pratheeviraj,

For this you will first need to change the Costing Method to standard...this can be done only for items which do not have a transaction yet.

if this is a newly created item..then go to the Inventory Data tab and change Valuation Method to Standard and now the Item Cost field will be visible and enabled and you should be able to enter the Cost.

If the Item has transactions then you need to use Inventory Revaluation
