hi
can anybdy give me the steps to configure file system repository
i found the threads which is related to windows o.s.
here my portal is on solaries and content server also on solaries.
i m going to create file system repository.can smebdy guide me the step by stpe procedure to configure file system repository

You use a file system repository manager to access a directory hierarchy in a file system and make its contents available for read and write access.

only some configuration steps will differ for the UNIX system.

Hi,
the steps are more or less the same.
When your content server and portal server is on solaris or unix or ....
you have at first to mount the content server path to your portal server via operation system commands. Afterwards by the portal define a network path and then a repository.

Thats nothing but you have to set the path of your file repository server in the file repository manager configuration step. which you can follow from the blog i posted in my previous reply.
There you can find what should be the parametrs in the File repository manager configuraion.
