material master customized fields updation using MM17

Dear Friends,

can anybody explain the step by step procedure for material master customized fileds updation using MM17 tcode.

i have an issue client is having some customized fileds in some of the tables related to material master. he want to update that data using MM17. what is the best way to update that data?

is it from a Excel or CSV file, then upload using LSMW, BDC or IDOC.

explain me the steps of each method.

go to mm17

here in field tab select the appropriate fields

select materials

execute then change the fields as required and save

Hi,

It depends upon the user to select, generally people prefer LSMW to upload the master data, but latest is e-catt
