LSMW CONVERSION AND FIELD MAPPING RULES

Hi All,

I am new to LSMW and i have to implement LSMW conversion.

Can anyone tell me

1)How to map the source filed and the target field?

2)What are mapping rules to be followed in LSMW?

I have the sample file format with 33 fields.As it is required immediately,answers will be highly appreciated.

hi,

There are two ways by which you can do the mapping between source field and target field.

1. Auto field mapping

2. Manually

For using auto field mapping , Go to 'Extras' in menu tab and select ' Auto field mapping' . There are various rules specified there and you can choose them according to your need. For example, if you want to map target field and source field with same names , then choose radio button 'Match field with same names' .

For using manual method, Place the cursor on target field ( extreme left corner in blue color) . Then click on 'Source field' or press CTRL + F2 . Now click on the field which you want to assign with your target field.
