Voyager user guide states "Drill-through capability is available only with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services or later data sources."
Does it mean that Drill-through for MSAS 2005 is supported or not?
to let the voyager works correctly with the MSAS 2005, you should have the MSAS 2005 SP2 installed on ur MSAS.
good luck

Thanks for the response. We've got BO XI R2 SP4 and MSAS 2005 SP2.
Drill-through action has been configured and sufficient permissions have been given to the account used by Voyager connection.
When testing drill-through from Excel 2003 it works fine. In Voyager drill-through menu item is still grayed out. Any ideas how to make it work?
Hi,
Just a quick question. Are u logging in to BOE using the administrator rights or some user rights?
Also let us know if it is the same user or aministrator used for connecting to the MSAS2005 server. Excel by default uses the administrator rights to connect to the server so drill through is possible from excel.
Please check the user used for connecting to the MSAS2005 server has the permission to do drill through. This could be checked by checking the roles assigned to the cube.
1. Double click on the roles.
2. Click on the Cubes tab.
3. Give access to the drillthrough for the cubes required.
4. Save the cube and then process.
This should be enough.
let me know if you still face some issues.
Thanks,
