confirmation of by-product via process message

Hi All,

what are the parameters - characteristic values that needs to be passed for confirmation of the by product via process message ?

Hi,

Only the Main Product are confirmed and not the By-products.

By-products are entered in the BOM with a negative quantity. Only the main product are confirmed and Goods receipt is done by movt type 101 and the components issue is done with movt type : 261 whereas the By-products are done GR with the Movt tyoe 531.

531 Goods receipt from by-product from the order

The goods receipt of a by-product usually refers to an order, but it can be entered without a reference.

If a component is entered with a negative quantity in the order, a reservation item is created with

531 (instead of 261 ). The receipt of a by-product can be entered when the component for the order is withdrawn from stock or it can be entered as an 'other goods receipt'.

Hi,

You can confirm GI of Components,GR of Header material and By Product (Movement type 531) thorough PI sheet.

- Use Process Message PI_CONS for both Components and By Product.

- Use Process message PI_PROD for Header material.

Hi,

By products can't be confirmed. Only main products can confirm. You can confirm the Co-Products.
