hi

i have activated document splitting in ECC6.while posting any transaction it showing error

" balancing field"segment"in line item 001not filled "

error discription: the dield system marked as balancing is not filled with any value in line item 001, even after document splitting

procedure: 1.no value can be derived for this field from the current document date

2.you have entered a document type that is not designed

here problem is if i select in the document splitting activate-segment field-1.zero balance check box and

2.for sedment-mandatory check box, error wil arise, if i donot select MANDATORY check box, the error doesnot come

plz tell me answers

Hi Soumya,

This error comes if profit center is missing in the line item. Insert a profit center and your error should go.

Have you confugure docuemnt splitting rules for documents? And classify accounts for document splitting?
