CR XI R2 SP2: Can't remove specific database location from subreport

Hi,

I have a report with a sub-report.

Problem is:

I can't manage to remove the original Catalog location from the subreport.

I go to DATABASE > SET DATASOURCE LOCATION and for each table i expand its properties, F2 on Overridden Qualified Table Names, and type the exactly the TableName.

This clears the CATALOG information - but only in the main report.

If i do the same process to the subreport, i end up with the table name in Overridden Qualified Table Names, but CATALOG information is not cleared.

(I tried this from the main report, and then go through the subreports tree but also editing the sub report and try to change from there - no difference).

How can i solve this issue?

Hi Carlos,

Since you indicate it is working on the main report, but not for the subreport, I will suggest to save the subreport as a main report, and see if it works when it is a main report. If it does, then you can re-add the report as a subreport.

To save a subreport as a report:

1. Right click on the subreport and select "Edit Subreport"

2. Once you are in the subreport "Design" view, select "Save Subreport as..." and provide a name to the report

3. Open the report you just saved, then modify the information in the Overridden Qualified Table Name

If it retains the information, then you can re-add the report as a subreport.
