start and finish date of the project triggered by sales order

Dear All,

can you help me with this?

i am working on the assembly processing.

could you tell me how SAP caculates the start and finish date of the project which is triggered by the sales order.

i think the finish date is related to the S/O req delivery date and order process time of the material master data.

i am not sure if the start date of the project is related to the material master data and the S/O.

Can someone explain this me?

i have to know the logic between these dates.
