Hi!
My company is manufacturing one product with different variants. Each variant has different material number. Each variant consist of two main assemblies which has further sub assemblies. Out of two main asssembly one is make to order and other is make to stock. Please suggest me which planning strategy should I use.
Best regards,
Jeewan Oberoi
Hi,
Use strategy 50 for the FG and 70 at the assembly level which needs to be stocked. you can have PIR for the MTS assembly which will be consumed while it is issued to the FG production order.
In MRP 4 view, use indiv/coll indicator 1 for the MTO assembly and 2 for the MTS assembly..

Ashok

stg 20 to be used for main assembly and in 2 sub assemblies, one with MTO to have ind/coll req field to be =1, and one with MTS to have ind/coll req field to be =2.
