input 'contact person' data for customer master - LSMW

Hi experts, pls help solve the followings. Thx a lot.

Issue: fail to input 'contact person' data when using LSMW for customer master.

Background: Each customer has at least one contact person. Each contact person may have tel phone no., and / or mobile phone no. and / or fax no., and business address. And those info differ from the info under the 'address' tab in the 'customer general data' screen. If maintained those info, at least two screens should be digged into when maintaining customer master.

Questions: Should the 'relationship' be created when maintaining source structure? If yes, how to establish the relationship? (I have tried it but failed to input data.) Or, any other best ways to input contact persons' data?

hello, friend.

when doing LSMW to create/migrate customer master (XD01 or VD01), it is better not to input the contact person details first.

after you have uploaded the customer master data, you can then upload the contact person details separately using LSMW for tcode VAP1 (create contact person). there is a relationship here between contact person and the customer number (ergo, you should create the customer master first).

after the upload for VAP1, check customer master data if the contact person details have been updated.
