Hi All,

Please answer for the below questions.

Todesign a CUBE wht performance factors that we need to consider(KPI'S)?

And also let me know in which areas that we need to concenntrate on KPI and how?

Hi Ramakanth,

1. Create and maintain indexes on the cube.

2. Create aggregates.

3. You can use the RSRT tool to analyze further.

4. Compress the cube.

5. Maintain OLAP Cache.

Hi ,

Take some of the following considerations when u r designing cube. then u can achieve performance over it.

1. Don't use more no. of Dimensions as Joins will increase to load data into respected tables.

a) so relate all characteristics into dimension like all customer related char.s into one dimension

b) while relating just check the relation between them.

if it is 1:many or 1 : 1 assign them to one dimension otherwise use separate dimensions.

2. No. of dimension entries must be less.

3. Identify all Line Item Dimensions
