DTW template

Dear All,

we want to import the serial number and can't find the template sample that suitable for us. Pls give advice what to do.

Do you also want to Quantities and Serial Numbers?

Or Just Serial Numbers...for Items whose quantities are already in the system?

The First is only possible..you need to associate the quantity and the serial number when importing using the templates pointed by Jimmy.

Hi,

you have to use 3 templates to solve this issue:

1. Documents template

2. Document_Lines template

3. Serialnumbers template

if it is good receipts, you can use the templates from this folder:

C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\oInventoryGenEntry

Also, please refer to SAP Notes 814215, 841270 which will describe how to import serial numbers correctly via DTW

Hi John,

Series number tables are not exposed to DI API. Which means, DTW is not available directly for the table. You can check SAP Note# 841270 to see how to import them with quantity by stock module.

there is actually template for that. Check in this folder:

C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Data preparation examples\10. Testcase1_Test Data for Import function

if you do not have it, try to reinstall the DTW, from the package folder in the product CD. Let me know
