How do I create a product category description manually in SRM with 60 characters (no replication from BE) ?

I know that I can create a local product category with comm_hierarchy . But the questions is that is there any way to create a local product category manually with 60 characters ?

hi,

i have checked in the system and it is possible only to create product category of length 40..

you can control this in customizing , allowed length is between 1 and 40

1) transaction --> spro

2) path --->Supplier Relationship management -->SRM Server ---> Master Data -->Products -->

Define Output Format and Storage Format for Product Ids

there you have to specify the length > you want to maintain for parameter>

Prod. ID Leng

maximum allowed is 40...

You can create upto 80 character text for category text name

you can refer comm_categoryt table.

I have tried . you can also.
