authorization for master group

Hi Experts,

I remember that you can give authorization for a master group.

But I am not sure how to do so.

Can anybody help me please.

Within CRM_SEGTYP exists the field TYPE_ID. The values of this authorization field can be customized in CRM.

How can we make the master group obligatory??

I am now using segmenttype 110000 for attribute lists that should always have a master group. When I am segmenting using these lists I a using a master group.

The strange thing is that I get the following message:

Master group is mandatory when creating a profile set of segment type 110000
Message no. CRM_MKTTG_SET046

Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug? Does somebody have the same experience?

Hi Christina,

1. To make the master group mandatory,you need to define the segment types in customizing and make mastergroup mandatory in it,by use of a the checkbox for mastergroup mandatory,Now when you create your attribute list ,use this segment type.

When you select the attribute list in the segment builder,it will ask you for a master group.Hence mastergroup becomes mandatory.

2.for the error that you are facing apply note no. 1177748
