Java development without NWDI
A consultant states "ESS/MSS code is Development Component (DC) based and not file based. The sturcture of the DC and the normal webdynpro is completly different. ESS webdynpro applications use a lot of dependent DC's from XSS component. To enhance ESS functionality, we need to get DC's into NWDS and this is possible only through NWDI as the files conversion process to DC's will be taken care by NWDI."
We currently do not have an NWDI environment setup - and will not until early 2009. Is there a manual workaround?
I always thought NWDI is for promoting the code and NWDS for
development. And that the DC could be local on the workstation somehow.
