Hi,
The Inbound process is for external procurement process that occur when the goods are received.
Purchase order ---Inbound delivery -- Goods Receipt
The outbound delivery is for goods issue posting with respect to Sales orders/STO's
Sales order/STO --- Outbound delivery -- Billing

Hi,
STO means Stock transfer order.
This is used to transfer the stock(Materials) from one plant to another plant.
ME21N/ME22N/ME23N- Create/change/display sto.
Tables: EKKO, EKPO, EKBE
Inbound delivery: U r receiving the stock to ur plant.
Inbound delivery - Receiving material to our stores ( against PO) - T .Code : MIGO.
Outbound delivery: Issuing Material from our stores to customers - T.Code : VL01N.
Outbound delivery: U r moving the stock from ur plant to outside.

Hi,
the inbound delivery supports all activities such as putaway, packing, transportation and goods receipt. During the inbound delivery process, planning information is recorded, the status of different activities is monitored, and data accumulated during inbound shipment processing is documented. When the inbound delivery is created, activities such as putaway or scheduling are initiated, and data that is generated during processing of the inbound delivery is included in the delivery.
From PO we can make inbound delivery via :
1. EDI
2. Collective processing
3. Manually...
