Business System not exist

Hi,

We exported a business scenario from DEV to PROD.

The business system name is ERD and should automatically change into ERP in Production.

But when we try to import the .tpz, it is giving business system ERD does not exist in Production.

Why is this happening and what should i do?

Regards

Krish

Have you create the Transport Targets in the SLD?

If no, then make sure in the SLD that te business system for Production exists and then create the Transport Target group for production on the SLD and then map this soruce business system to the target business system.

Hi,

When i moved it from Dev to Test, it got changed automatically, same way i had moved from Dev to Prod.

How to create the transport target groups.

Is it also because for production there might be separate SLD ?

Well, unfortunately someone had done the Transport Groups on Dev and QA.

Until you don't provide specifics of what you are doing,Single SLD, multiple SLD etc it would be rather difficult to help.

Also to understand Transport Groups search on SDN and help.sap.

There are many threads to which I myself have provided the explanation!

Or you might soon end up with a bunch of links anyways!

Why are you moving it from Dev to Prd?? Why not from QA to Prd. If it is not a typing mistake then you should check the transport targets in QA if you have given the target as Prd system there.

Hi,

Dev and QA is been shared under a single SLD.

Production has totally separate SLD.

Moreover, we were just using the same files that were used to move from dev to qa.

Is it ok to configure the ID manually in Production?

I would strongly recommend against this.

The whole reason for having multiple environments is this exact reason!

The right way is to transport objects from QA to Prod.

Hi,

Just check in ID if you have imported the busuness system before importing the changes into production system.

You can import the business system in ID under "Objects" tab. Right click on Business System and assign the bussiness system. After doing so you have to do "Clear SLD Data Cache" under Enviornment menu.

I hope it helps.
